MADISON N. HECKEL | ASSOCIATE
Madison N. Heckel is an associate attorney at Barney & Hourihane, LLP. She is licensed to practice law by the Supreme Court of Illinois.
Madison attended Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minnesota, where she graduated with honors. After college, Madison taught English in South Korea before moving to Chicago to attend the University of Chicago. She obtained her Master’s Degree from University of Chicago in Social Sciences, where she studied Sociology and Social Movement Theory. Madison graduated from Loyola University Chicago School of Law in 2021. While at Loyola, Madison volunteered in Loyola’s inaugural immigration law volunteer trip, assisting the Southern Poverty Law Center in representing detainees in Louisiana ICE detention centers. She also volunteered at Ascend Justice, where she helped victims of domestic violence obtain emergency orders of protection. Madison was on the Board of Loyola’s Women’s Law Society, If/When/How, and Cultural Impact Initiative. She was a member of Loyola Law Review and Loyola Annals of Health Law and Science, and has multiple published articles regarding a variety of legal issues. |
